Approximately 220 attended the film “A Painted Veil” by Anthony Dolan and script by David Morris. The film profiled the life and work of EW from his birth in 1860 to his death in 1935 in Monte Calvalo (Italy) where he spent his retirement. The film showed how EW was a pioneer of Art Nouveau and the Modern Movement in architecture.
Special guest Leo Lagorio (seen on the left) an art dealer from Monte Calvalo and collector of Edgar Wood’s paintings was present and also the Middleton and Heywood MP Liz McInnes (centre) , Anthony Dolan is to the right of the group.
