If you love Christopher Whall’s Arts & Crafts windows, such as those in Middleton’s St. Leonard’s Church (as above), you will appreciate this new film which explains very practically what he and the other Arts & Crafts glass designers were trying to achieve. If you then want to know even more… you can buy the book!

Just wondering if you have any further information about the memorial window in Albrighton Church 3miles from Shrewsbury in Shropshire, The memorial window which is the West window facing the Hall was executed by Christopher Whall in 1920. At that time he was nearing the end of his life and suffered with ill health,
As the church or chapel(as it is sometimes referred) if often locked it may be that historians have not either seen this important work or unaware of its existence.
I photographed the glass yesterday and will attach photos if you respond to my email-Phil
I do hope that that this extremely informative film will always be available for scholars and all those with an interest in stained glass and the Arts & Crafts movement
