The main works completed are the asbestos removal, render removal, elevation scaffold, stage dismantle and various strip out and the works commenced include reconstruction, roof repairs and plaster removal, other than what had already fallen off! The largest visible work that has commenced is the window repair and the replacement of the glazing by Bootle Glass. Architect Lisa McFarlane of Seven Architects, looks at a replaced section of leaded window, which previously had a mixture of broken glass and plastic quarries.
Neil Nightingale the Contract Manager for Stone Edge holds in place a section of glazing for the arched window that is for a rather special person. This window repair and glazing has been sponsored by the oldest member of the Edgar Wood Society and Church Member. It is Bertha’s 100 birthday in a few days time. We send Bertha all our very best wishes.
