Grade I listed church dating from 1100, Norman arches incorporated and notable history, Flodden Window and rare brasses. The oldest church building in the area. ‘Wooden steeple for a stubborn people’. 2014 is the 300th anniversary of the installation of 6 of our 8 bells. There will be bell ringing demonstrations and visits to the ringing chamber.

  • Friday 12 September: 1000-1600
  • Saturday 13 September: 1000-1600
  • Sunday 14 September: 1400-1600


Narrow, steep spiral stairs to Bell Ringing Chamber

The church itself is a landmark standing on a hill with an unusual wooden tower.
