Heritage and film buffs combine for Edgar Wood film

Last December, Middleton Heritage Film Group put in a Lottery bid for a film about the life and work of Edgar Wood… and was successful! Since then, the Edgar Wood Society has been researching and co-writing the film with Anthony Dolan of the film group. The filming will commence next month, based at the Edgar Wood Centre on Long Street, Middleton.

  1. Hi Cynthia, That should be possible because I think a set of DVDs are going to be made. There will also be a big-screen showing at the Arts & Crafts Church. I’ll let Anthony Dolan, the film maker, know of your interest as I have an idea he plans to film at Broadway. At the moment he is filming at Edgar Wood’s retirement house in Italy! best wishes, David Morris

  2. I am hoping to get a viewing. I would also like to share it with my neighbours.

  3. Pleased to hear the filming has begun and look forward to to the finished product. I live in a Wood and Sellars house on Broadway Fairfield Droylsden. So it is of special interest.
